Internal & External Renovation Following Malicious Damage

B&B was appointed by Concorde BGW to carry out comprehensive renovation works at The Black Prince, a public house in Coventry, following an incident of malicious damage. Scheduled to commence mid-October 2025, the project will involve reinstatement of both internal and external areas to restore operational functionality and ensure full regulatory compliance.

Scope of Works

Internal strip-out and reinstatement of damaged finishes, fixtures, and fittings
External repair and redecoration, including masonry, woodwork, and signage
Structural inspections and remedial works where necessary
Coordination of mechanical and electrical reinstatement
Site setup, welfare provision, and environmental controls
Final clean and preparation for reoccupation

CDM Regulations

As Principal Contractor, B&B Property Services Ltd will manage all responsibilities under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, including:

Preparation and implementation of a site-specific Construction Phase Plan
Coordination of health and safety documentation, RAMS, and subcontractor compliance
Daily site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing risk assessments
Maintenance of welfare facilities and statutory site documentation

Where applicable, B&B will liaise with Coventry City Council’s Building Control team to ensure:

Structural repairs meet current standards and are documented for inspection
Fire safety measures are reinstated in accordance with approved layouts
External finishes comply with local planning and conservation requirements
All remedial works are signed off prior to completion

The objective is to restore The Black Prince to a safe, functional, and visually presentable condition, with all works delivered in line with Concorde BGW’s specification, programme, and regulatory requirements.
